Although Juventus held most of the possession of the first half, the first 45 minutes were rather slow moving perhaps even due to Siena crowding their half of the pitch. On the 3rd minute a ball is put into the Siena area by Poulsen but Amauri is off-side. Two minutes later there is a good ball into the area for Trezeguet who passes to Amauri in the area but the Brazilian is off-side.
On the 7th minute, Diego puts the ball towards Amauri in the area but it is a bit too long and the ball rolls out for a goal kick. Four minutes later, Grygera puts a ball into the area for Trezeguet but the latter's shot is blocked. On the 14th minute there is a corner for Juve: ball into the area but Curci waves away.
As the quarter of an hour ticks by Calaio is off-side as he enters the Juve area. Two minutes later, a Poulsen ball into the area is easily collected by the keeper. Four minutes later, a good ball into the area is a bit too high for Trezeguet. Seconds later, a Poulsen cross is a bit too long and it goes beyond the line.
On the 22nd minute De Ceglie finds it difficult to control a good ball in the area and his shot goes wide from close to the keeper. Two minutes later, Trezeguet is off-side as he is in an excellent position. Seconds pass and an Amauri shot is blocked by the defence.
The 25th minute sees Diego who shoots high over the bar after receiving from Poulsen. One minute later, a powerful shot for Siena from midfield goes high over the bar. The 27th minute sees a good Diego ball into the area towards Molinaro who is anticipated by the defence.
On the 28th minute an Amauri shot on the turn is blocked by the defence. Juventus are piling up the pressure. On the hald hour mark, Maccaraone shoots very high over the bar. One minute later, there is a fee-kick for Juve: Diego puts the ball in but the ball is headed by a defender towards Curci.
The 38th minute sees a Trezeguet conclusion beingd by Curci as the assistant's flag goes up for off-side. Two minutes later, there is a freekick for Juve from the right hand side as Diego is fouled: the Brazilian himself puts the ball and Cheillini heads wide.
On the 42nd minute, a good through ball by Diego to Trezeguet who is anticipated by the keeper. One minute later, there is a corner for Juve: ball into the area but the defence clears.
The only chance for Siena in the first half comes in the second of the two minutes of stoppage time awarded by the referee: Buffon saves well on Ekdal. The two teams go to rest in a deadlock.
The second half sees Caceres coming on for Grygera and Juventus immediately pile up the pressure. On the 1st minute there is a corner for Juve: ball cleared a first time but from the rebound Diego heads twoards Cheillini who hits the post from a very inviting position! What an opportunity! Two minutes later it is Siena who benefir from a free-kick: ball headed into corner by Caceres: ball reaches Jajalo who shoots into Buffon's safe hands.
Juventus continue to dominate and seconds later, Amauri receives in the area and tries to put the ball behind him but the defence clears. Four minutes later, a Jajalo shot is deflected just wide into corner.
Ferrara makes another substitution on the 8th minutes bringing on Camoranesi for Molinaro. One minute later, a Caceres ball for Trezeguet is blocked by the defence. Two minutes later a good Camoranesi cross into the area first reaches Diego and then Amauri but the defence somewhat manages to clear.
On the 18th minute, Chielini with a great challenge clears the Juve area after a Siena break away. One minute later, a ball is put into the Siena area and is cleared with difficulty by the defence. From the out-ball the ball reaches Trezeguet who heads with Turci saving. Juve certainly deserve a goal as they pile up the pressure.
The 20th minute sees a long distance shot from Amauri go straight into Turci's arms. One minute later, there is a beautiful turn by Amauri in the area but the ball is cleared in the nick of time by Brandao. On the 22nd minute a Camoranesi cross into the area is saved easily by the keeper.
On the 23rd minute a Ball is put into the Siena area by De Ceglie but the defence clears. The Siena area is under siege. On the 24th minute, there is a corner for Juve: Diego straight into the arms of the keeper.
Juve get what they deserve on the 25th minute: Diego is fouled on the run by Codrea. Free-kick for Juve: Diego puts the ball into the area and Amauri touches it in for the opener: 1-0!
Siena try to react and on the half hour mark Caceres blocks Reginaldo helping Buffon to collect the ball in the area. Five minutes later, there is a good De Ceglie cross towards Trezeguet who is off-side. On the 40th minute a Diego shot is deviated wide by Trezeguet.
On the 42nd minute Sissoko comes on for Diego and one minute later there is a free-kick for Siena with Buffon saving easily. On the 2nd minute out of 4 minutes of stoppage time Maccarone manages to get a ball into the area but Buffon grabs safely. In the last minute there is a free-kick for Siena: Juve clear and it's over. 0-1 and 3 points!!!
Juventus return to victory also in the championship with Aamuri the hero of the day and the scorer of the three-pointer that keeps Juve hot on the trails of Inter and Sampdoria, their next opponents on Wednesday.
