Inter News Update

Brazil beat Argentina 3-1
Julio Cesar, Maicon and Lucio got the better of their Inter team-mates Javier Zanetti and Diego Milito as Brazil beat Argentina 3-1 in the South American World Cup qualifying tournament.

Luisao (23') and Luis Fabiano (30', 66') scored for the Selecao. Jesus Datolo (64') netted for Argentina.

Inter's Zanetti, Julio Cesar, Maicon and Lucio played the whole ninety minutes in Rosario, while Milito came on for Carlos Tevez in the 69th minute. Brazil captain Lucio was yellow-carded during the match.

Rene Krhin makes Slovenia debut

Rene Krhin made his debut for the Slovenian national team in Saturday's international friendly against England at Wembley. The Inter midfielder played the last 18 minutes of the encounter, which finished 2-1 to England.

Arnautovic: "Proud to be here"

Marko Arnautovic reflected on his non-competitive debut for Inter in Saturday's friendly match against Swiss side Lugano.

"I'm proud to be here and to have played my first match with the Inter shirt," said the Austrian. "I played more than eighty minutes and it was a positive training session for me.

"Obviously I'm still not in top condition. I need a few weeks before I can be available to the coach. I also have to lose a few kilos but I want to work in training to improve my condition and help the team."

On his exclusion from Inter's list for the Champions League group stages, Arnautovic said: "This is the coach's decision and I respect it. On the other hand, I had almost never trained with my team-mates until these last few weeks.

"I will work hard to convince Mourinho to put me on the list in January."
